In addition to the patient groups listed, Schering-Plough, as a global organisation, also works with a number of public and private organisations in order to improve access to prescription medicines around the world.

Request for Product Donations

In 2006, Schering-Plough supported physicians and healthcare professionals on charitable, short-term medical missions around the world through its partnership with MAP International. Schering-Plough has provided financial support and supplies antifungal creams, topical creams, allergy medicines, vitamin-enriched ointments and other medicines for use in MAP’s Travel Packs. The MAP Travel Pack Programme enables healthcare professionals to provide much-needed medicines in areas of the world where even basic healthcare is lacking. Easy to transport, healthcare providers carry the Travel Packs to remote regions to address a wide range of healthcare needs. Each Travel Pack contains commonly needed medicines and supplies for short-term medical missions in the developing world.

There are, of course, very strict criteria and application processes in place for such donations and Schering-Plough only works with organisations that are well known for their work in this area.
